Token 183: Use your talents wisely

Epictetus teaches us that talents are as meaningless as good looks and possessions when it comes to living a good life. They only become meaningful when we use them to pursue virtue.

This week, focus on your greatest talents—the skills, habits and behaviors you have crafted over time.

Look for ways to use your talents in pursuit of virtue, rather than more tangible but fleeting gains. How can you use this resource you have cultivated in order to help others?

Can’t you tell the difference between what makes people philosophers and the qualities that are found in them by chance? ~ Epictetus
